Seaside Safari December Vacation Camp
December 29, 30, 31 and January 2, 2014; 9am-3pm
Safari Camp is an environmental day program for our school age campers, grades K-5. Campers may enroll in December Vacation Camp by the day or for all four days. Sessions run from 9am-3 pm. After-care is available until 5:30pm.
Daily Cost: $55 members, $60 non-members
Four Day Cost: $220 members, $240 non-members
After-care: $12 per day (no after-care available on December 31)

Monday, December 29: Marine Mammal Rescue!
If a seal, dolphin or porpoise strands on a NH beach, the Seacoast Science Center’s Marine Mammal Rescue Team leads the rescue response. Join us to learn what marine mammals live in our waters, and what to do if you come across one of these animals on the beach. Why is it so important to keep a safe distance? Come find out!
Tuesday, December 30: Winter Wildlife Walk and Fort Building
While some animals are sleeping the winter away, other animals are out and about searching for food. Learn how animals survive the winter; scout the park for tracks, burrows, and scat; and, if we are lucky, view some winter wildlife in action. We’ll finish up the day by building some of our own winter shelters.
Wednesday, December 31: Super Science Experiments
This day is for all you junior scientists out there who like to get hands-on with all sorts of gooey and slippery substances! Campers will learn about the Scientific Method, make fascinating scientific discoveries, and a get to take a cool science project home!
Friday, January 2: Caring for our Creatures
We’ll round up some of our exhibit creatures and create mini tide-pools for them in buckets, learning how to handle animals safely. Come find out how our aquarist takes care of our exhibit animals, and get a chance to see them being fed their lunch. We’ll wrap up the day with a scavenger hunt along the rocky shore and play some fun games along the way!

Registration closes the Thursday before the camp session begins.
After-Care
Camp runs from 9am-3pm; drop off begins at 8:30am. After-care is available for campers from 3-5:30pm for $12 a day. After-care is supervised free time, not an extension of camp activities. Please sign up when you register for camp.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made prior to one week before the first day of camp will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given once camp is in session.
Camp Fund
The Center has created a Camp Fund to offer financial assistance to those otherwise unable to attend. We encourage your support of this fund; please make a donation on the registration form. Contributions are tax deductible.
